2022 Vincent Girardin '1er Cru Les Folatieres' Puligny-Montrachet
Winemaker Notes: This lively wine, with citrus and mineral aromas, has an incredible length and its complexity referred to the great white burgundy wines we expect with a singular personality.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Vinous - "The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has an understated nose, but one that is delineated and quite complex, mainly yellow fruit mixed with crushed stone and lime. The palate is very well-balanced, with fine sapidity, good tension and plenty of structure toward the finish. Very composed and harmonious, this is a very well-crafted Puligny."
Burghound - "Here too there is a subtle application of oak framing the ever-so-vaguely exotic nose of white peach, lychee and citrus confit. The middleweight flavors aren't quite as dense or seductive though they are more mineral-driven with a similar touch of bitter zest on the lingering finish that could also use better depth.
