2023 Raen ‘Royal St. Robert’ Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
Winemaker Notes - Aromas of wild strawberries, crushed dark red cherries, and rose petals fill the bowl. Black tea, wet crushed rock, and notes of "where the forest meets the meadow" yield to thyme and more delicate floral notes with finely-grained tannins leading to a long sumptuous finish.
A special bottling dedicated to our grandfather, Robert, who taught and inspired us each and every day and who continues to do so on this journey. This cuvée is a selection of our finest barrels giving a window into the cool, rugged hills of the West Sonoma Coast.100 % Whole cluster • Native fermentation • Aged in neutral French oak barrels • Bottled without fining or filtration • 10 acres
Critical Acclaim
James Suckling - "An amazingly complex, dynamic wine that demands your attention from the first sniff to the lingering finish. Aromas of redwood forest, rosemary, purple flowers and black cherries, then black tea, pomegranate, dark cherry, dried raspberry and wild mushroom flavors. Fine-grained moderate tannins and crunchy acidity give it such a firm backbone."
