Why Jason K. loves this wine: "A great example of Aussie Semillon, but slightly different stylistically than those from the Hunter Valley as it sees some time in barrel. Still bright and clean with notes of grapefruit, lemon zest, and green apple, but with texture from a short time in oak. Like a Hunter Valley Semillon it is fantastic now, but will evolve beautifully for decades in your cellar if you choose to. An absolute steal at only $19.99"

Why Tony D. loves this wine: "Vernaccia is the only DOCG white wine that hails from Tuscany and it is a perfect Spring/Summer sipper. Aromas of white flowers like germanium, magnolia, and spring wildflowers are supported by stony minerality (“calce” in Italian translates to lime and is referring to the limestone composition of the soil the grapes are grown in) and notes of peach, pear, and white pepper. Richly textured on the palate with plenty of freshness and balanced acidity. A very versatile wine with food but I usually like to pair this with spring pasta dishes or grilled seafood. Certified organic since 2012."

Why Michael F. loves this wine: The result of owner Anne-Charlotte's daughter's request for a more graceful Chateauneuf-du-Pape after attending college in Burgundy, this is eminently drinkable with notes of bright cherry, allspice, savory elements, with great nuance, but yet the plush texture we know and love of Rhone blends. Lovely!

Made by the ramato process, fermenting the juice on Pinot Grigio’s light red skins, resulting in a very pale coppery color."

Why Michael F. loves this wine: Purple-black in the glass, the oak sings with notes of ripe black plum and cassis, all carried along with a velvety fine-grained tannin. Delish!
