2022 Weingut Max Ferd. Richter Valdenzer Elisenberg Riesling Spätlese Mosel
Winemaker Notes: A beautiful elegant nose of pear, vineyard peach, and apricot blossom. The wine proves gorgeously racy and vibrant on the palate, which gives it focus and tension. The finish is mouth-watering, tart and loaded with ripe fruits and minerals.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "From 70- to 80-year-old vines picked four weeks after the Kabinett and with about 10% botrytis, the intensely yellow 2022 Elisenberger Riesling Spätlese opens with a deep, intense and complex nose of blueberries, yeast and crushed stones. Round and lush on the palate, with raisin and nutty notes, this is a textured, very complete and elegant Riesling with stunning acidity for this vintage (at about nine grams per liter). This is a complex and promising, pretty unique Spätlese with great aging capacity and a vital, saline and savory finish. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2023. "
