2019 Michele Chiarlo Barbera Nizza 'La Court' Riserva Piedmont
Winemaker Notes: “The two hills, next two each other, are garnished at the summit with a ring of cypress trees, evoking something magical. I thought about a night sky full of stars, furrowed by the mysterious outlines of orbits, planispheres, something present. Then the stars superimposed one another where the lines met at crossroads, as if to signal the encounter, like a map of the stars.” -Giancarlo Ferraris, label designer.
Purple with brilliant ruby hues Ample, intense, elegant with notes of black cherry, cocoa, and coffee on the nose. Very good structure, fresh, velvety with a long, silky finish. Pair this with agnolotti with a wild rabbit sauce, tagliolini with porcini, roasted veal and well-matured cheeses
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Wine Enthusiast - "“La Court” is a stunner of a Barbera! The nose is full of dark black fruits, sweet baking spices, mint and dried herbs. The wine's structure is beautiful with fine tannins and vibrant acidity around a core of dark cherries and blackberries. This is a Barbera for your cellar (2025–2032) "
