2020 Bloem Syrah-Mourvedre Simonsberg-Paarl

Winemaker Notes: Syrah and Mourvèdre are natural partners, having grown together for thousands of years. In this blend, black currant and cherry fruit aromas are balanced with exotic spice and earthy undertones. The wine is smooth with a dry, lingering finish. Perfect alongside the braai. This wine is picked early to retain fresh aromas and fermented in stainless steel and concrete tanks. It is matured for 9 months after fermentation in oak barrels and concrete tanks. 

 The Cape Floral Kingdom is the smallest and most biodiverse of the world’s six floral kingdoms. Bloem (pronounced “bloom", from the Dutch word for “flower"), captures the essence of this unique and dynamic ecosystem with refreshing fruit aromas, clean, creamy flavours, and a hint of exotic spice.
