2014 Roy Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Winemaker Notes: This is truly a classic Roy Estate Cabernet. The exquisite nose reveals a dense mix of aromas of black cherry, blueberries, blackberries and floral with a subtle, sultry smokiness. It evolves on the mid-palate with beautifully textured layers of concentrated black bramble fruits, black currant, dark and dense cocoa nibs, and slate. Those full layers of textures are complimented by the signature Roy well-integrated, silky tannins and great purity which linger on the palate. 2014 is another stellar expression of this unique vineyard location which will age beautifully and yet can be appreciated and enjoyed right now with decanting.
For optimum enjoyment of this wine, please decant and serve at about 60 ºF.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "Offers the vintage’s suppleness, silky tannins, and intense richness. The fruit is black, with some darker blueberry notes coming to the forefront. There is a floral note as well, and an almost Graves-like earthiness in the background. This wine should be drunk over the next 15-20 years."
